Simancón and The Clock

The Sierra de Grazalema, located at the westernmost end of the Subbética mountain range, and in which the limestone formation predominates, It is composed of a set of small sub-mountains. Specific, The route we propose is located in the Sierra del Endrinal, so named because of the predominance of Blackthorns, and whose fruit is the main ingredient of sloe liqueur or pacharán. This path, in continuous ascent towards its two peaks El Simancón (1.561 m) and The Clock (1.535 m). The trail begins at the campsite that leads to Grazalema, It is accessed by an ascending path that leads to the Llanos del Endrinal. These plains are crossed and another ascent begins, until you reach the rocky area that marks the last section of the route, and in which the help of the hands will be necessary to reach the top. During the tour you can see the scarce vegetation, in which the pine and the mountain goat prevail, which stand out among the rocky areas. Once you reach the top of Simancón you can enjoy spectacular views, being able to see the highest peak in the province, The Tower (1.654 m). After a stop, You ascend around and through the valley that separates El Simancón and El Reloj.
