Molino del susto and Cruz de la atalaya route

This trail connects Benamahoma, town located in the foothills of the Sierra del Pinar, with an attractive recreational area, that of Los Llanos del Campo. During the tour, the Descansadero stream accompanies us with its beautiful riverside forest, formation that is benefited by the abundance of water in this area, what, despite its Mediterranean climate, registers a rainfall similar to that of northern Spain.

We will also come across the Descansadero fountain, one of many springs present in this mountain range in which water leaves its underground circulation and comes to the surface, and hidden among thick vegetation, the ruins of the Susto mill that worked with the waters of the stream.
