Jerez de la Frontera can boast of being one of the cities with the most trees in Spain and one of the first cities in Europe where the Tree Festival was celebrated dating back to 1898. Currently it has 9 gardens declared of Cultural Interest, more of 100 trees classified as unique due to their rarity, size or uniqueness. Through the “Species Route”, We invite you to discover the origin and history of the trees of our city, through a journey of sensations and events through space and time.
On this route we will combine gardens of more modern construction created with the new Garden city model started in the 20th century., like the Union and La Plata gardens, with other gardens inherited from palaces or residences, such as the Atalaya Gardens and the Tempul Gardens.
