Jerez de la Frontera can boast of being one of the cities with the most trees in Spain and one of the first cities in Europe where the Tree Festival was celebrated dating back to 1898. Currently it has 9 gardens declared of Cultural Interest, more of 100 trees classified as unique due to their rarity, size or uniqueness. Through the “Species Route”, We invite you to discover the origin and history of the trees of our city, through a journey of sensations and events through space and time.
This route proposes a triangulated route through the three Llanos where the first three tree-lined promenades of Jerez were established in the 18th century and which have evolved as the most historic squares of Jerez.: Cristina and Aladro in Llanos de Santo Domingo and San Sebastián, Alameda Vieja and Arenal in Llanos del Alcázar and Angustia in Llanos del Ejido.
