This trail leads to the Garganta del Capitán, which has the characteristic riverside vegetation of the so-called "canutos", a laurel forest similar to those of the Tertiary Era. It is located in a narrow valley through which the stream runs., favoring the abundance of species such as ferns.
We can also see tombs from the Bronze Age carved into the sandstone rock as well as the tombstone of the supposed “Captain” which gives its name to this gorge as well as old flour mills whose remains can still be seen on the banks of the stream.
